Growth and exploration of new musical territories by the PIF world. It is the mood of the second edition of WOW Folk Festival in Castelfidardo from 10 to 14 May. Organized by the Department of Culture in partnership with the Pro Loco, it mixes genres and generations. “We thought of a path that goes from younger talents to international guests – explains the Councilor Ruben Cittadini – Stage dance, street food, flea market and buskers will make the square live with dances of communities capable of transmitting emotions and vibrations”. Top of the schedule on Monday 14 with the concert of the Scottish band Norman Mackay Ceilidh experience.

A real treat because Norman plays a particular semitone instrument produced in the area but used only in Scotland and Ireland: bisonoro to the right (as a common organ) and unisonoro to the left (like the accordion). From this specificity comes an original repertoire that, from traditional Scottish music is expanded to international pop thanks to the mix of acoustic and electric instruments (ceilidh violin, guitar and drums) giving a surprising and interesting folk approach.
