Aleksandar Nikolić

Aleksandar Nikolić (bandoneon / accordion) – born in 1973, he studied at the School of Music Vučković in Belgrade, continuing his education at the Music Academy in Bratislava, Slovakia, where he completed his postgraduate studies in 1997. He is laureate of the international competitions Citta di Castelfidardo and Premio Stefano Bizzari – Morro d’oro. He has given concerts in the country and abroad. He has contributed largely to the promotion of tango music and Astor Piazzolla’s music in Serbia and whole World, performing it with many important symphony and chamber orchestras (Belgrade philharmonic orchestra, RTS Symphony orchestra, Vietnam National Symphony Orchestra, Saigon Opera Symphony Orchestra, Wuppertal Sinfonikers, Istanbul Symphony Orchestra, Sofia AGBU Symhony Orchestra, St George strings, Zagreb Soloists, Macedonian Philharmony …).

He is founder of Beltango quinteto, one of the most famous tango orchestra in the World performed more than 1.000 concerts in Argentina, Germany, Italy, France, Switzerland, Finland, Sweden, China, Vietnam, Canada, Portugal, Denmark, Holland, Spain, Hungary, Slovakia, Turkey, Greece, Malta, Austria, Czehien, Poland, Bulgaria, Slovenia, Lithuania, Croatia, Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia…

He is artistis director of international dance&music show “Tango De Mi Vida”.

His own musical opus Balkango – unique mixture of Tango and Balkan music, started to be very popular in the music world.

Together with former student Petar Maric performing in duo „Tango Reaction“

He is founder of the Belgrade Tango Association and artistic director of the International Belgrade Tango Festival.

Aleksandar Nikolic is a winner of “Astor Piazzolla Music Award 2008”
