CASTELFIDARDO – “For years we have adopted Farfisa day as a preview of the PIF, the International Accordion Prize: an event within the event that recalls the memory of a prestigious company, offering to the community an exhibition full of historical instruments, many of which in working order that will become heritage of the city “. Thus the councilor for culture Ruben Cittadini announces the appointment for next Sunday (13 September) when Castelfidardo will host the ninth edition
of the initiative that brings together fans and former employees of the giant that marked an era.

The “FAbbriche Riunite FISArmoniche”, born from the union of Settimio Soprani of Castelfidardo, Scandalli Brothers of Camerano and Frontalini of Numana, from 1946 to 1998 was a real flagship, signing cutting-edge products in the music sector spread across all continents. and adopted by famous artists, including “the poet of accordion” Gervasio Marcosignori who was its demonstrator and ambassador.

The president of the cultural association, with the the same name of the factory, Claudio Capponi, a former technician now one of the greatest Farfisa collectors, once again worked on organizing the meeting in compliance with the right distancing measures: guests from five regions will be welcomed in the morning by the Municipal Administration and then visit the renovated accordion museum, the Guiness accordion and the Risorgimento Museum.

In the afternoon, at 4.00 pm, the inauguration of the exhibition at the conference room in via Mazzini which will remain open until the end of October from 09: 00-12: 30 and 16: 00-19: 00 during the PIF days.

A lot of valuable examples that can be appreciated, some of which are very rare and revealed to the public for the first time as the Clavioline, synthesizer built by Farfisa in the late 1950s on a French design; the PR 310, 8-channel mixer dated 1967, the Br 80 amplifier from 1967, also used at the Sanremo festival and Cantagiro, the Leslie RSC 350 and RSC 180 amplifiers from 1972.

Farfisa day will end – obviously – in music, with the concert (5.00 pm) in piazza Leopardi by maestro Diego Trivellini who will perform pieces by Ennio Moricone on the electronic accordion.
