Tribute to one of the best-known Italian showmen in the world, in memory of the internationally renowned director who made a fundamental contribution to the world of cinema, but also to that of opera. For the centenary of the birth of Maestro Franco Zeffirelli, an event designed for the theaters of our country, which combines, as this universal exegete of art was able to do, Prose and Music in a rich program with a refined style. In the tribute to one of the most famous protagonists of our culture in the world, to act as a trend d’union between the extraordinary artistic products that he has left us, the evocative voice of the Italian director and actor Alessandro Preziosi in reading the autobiographical letters of Franco Zeffirelli. Letters written with the elegant style of the Artist capable, due to his productive/creative nature, of making Italian cinema fly high at the world box office with his masterpieces, which have also left us memorable soundtracks. In the music taken from the soundtracks of some of his films, Filippo Arlia on the piano and Francesco Mariozzi on the cello in a program that offers excerpts from films directed by the great director: Jane Eyre, poignant notes from the story that adheres to the traditional narrative text, Un tea with Mussolini, in which Zeffirelli passionately indulges in opera, Callas Forever, whose soundtrack is a welcome tribute to all lovers of the “divine” and music that revives the magic of the eternal city suspended between past and future , Tribute to Rome. Filippo Arlia, born in 1989, is an Italian pianist, teacher and conductor, considered by international critics, the press and Italian television as one of the most brilliant and versatile musicians of his generation. He has performed on some of the most prestigious stages in the world, such as Carnegie Hall in New York, the Cairo Opera House, the Auditorio Nacional de Musica in Madrid, the Novaja Opera in Moscow, Smetana Hall in Prague, the Teatro alla Scala in Milan. Francesco Mariozzi was principal cellist of the Teatro Massimo Bellini in Catania and often guest principal cellist of the Teatro San Carlo in Naples, of the Sicilian Symphony Orchestra, of the Teatro Regio of Parma and of the Symphony Orchestra of Rome and Lazio. He collaborates with the actor Claudio Santamaria performing in important theater festivals. The musical adaptations will be edited by Francesco Fortunato and Alfredo Cornacchia.
