First performed in 2009, at PIF 2023 we will have the honor of attending the 50th replica of the great GEIR DRAUGSVOLL of the work FACHWERK BY SOFIA GUBAIDULINA, the piece dedicated to the accordion by the Russian composer. A magical work towards sound and texture, a wonderful dream in which we will see the director ALFREDO LUIGI CORNACCHIA AND THE PHILHARMONIC ORCHESTRA OF CALABRIA accompany Maestro Draugsvoll on the accordion. Nominated three times for the Recording Academy Grammy Awards, Gubaidulina is considered, together with Schnittke and Denisov, one of the greatest composers after Shostakovich.

Accordionist Geir Draugsvoll has made a remarkable career over the last few decades, both as a soloist and chamber musician, but perhaps most importantly by promoting the accordion as a soloist with symphony orchestras.
