What if Bach’s symphonies were transformed into a contemporary experimental work for one evening? Duo Accosphere gives us 𝗕𝗔𝗛𝗖, a virtuoso performance in a very varied and transversal repertoire. Founded in 2011, the duo consisting of Alena Budziňáková and Grzegorz Palus has given over a hundred concerts in many countries, and has won numerous music competitions. In 2022, the musicians were awarded the Golden Diploma at the “Muzyczne Orły” International Competition for the album with double concertos by Johann Sebastian Bach, recorded together with the string quintet of the Capella Cracoviensis orchestra.
Alena Budziňáková and Grzegorz Palus, artists united by a common passion and desire to promote classical accordion music. Their activity expresses a symbiosis of a common understanding of the world and music, enriched by the personality traits of each of the musicians – prominent representatives of Polish and Slovak accordion art. The quality and reputation of the ensemble is testified by the excellent international training of the musicians and by the sum of the individual experiences of each of them. The combination of two perfectly mastered contemporary concert accordion types, namely a keyboard and a button instrument, also proves to be an added value. This contributed to the development of the duo’s unique style, which is currently one of the leading accordion chamber music ensembles in the world.
