Born in 1983, Oleksandr Hrustevich began playing the bayan at just 6 years old and graduated from Ukraine’s National Academy of Music under Professor Besfamilnov.
Considered one of the finest bayanists in the world, he gained international recognition through a viral YouTube performance of Vivaldi’s “Summer” from The Four Seasons — turning a bayan transcription of a piece written for violin and orchestra into a global phenomenon.
He performs regularly across Poland, Austria, Germany, Italy, Spain, Russia, Serbia, Brazil and beyond, and has shared the stage with legendary musician Bobby McFerrin before a sold-out crowd of three thousand in Kyiv.
Program includes works by Pachelbel, Vivaldi (The Four Seasons – Winter), Sibelius, Zubytskyi, Skoryk, Makkonen, De Angelis (on a Piazzolla theme), Waxman (Carmen Fantasie) and Gade (Jalousie).
