Roberto Palermo (Belvedere Marittimo, 1976) is an Italian accordionist, composer and performer based in Oslo since 2014.
After a solid classical training, he turned to jazz and contemporary music, studying with Renzo Ruggieri and attending masterclasses with Richard Galliano.
He has worked with major Italian theatre productions, from Piccolo Teatro in Milan to Teatro Biondo in Palermo.
His music moves through jazz, tango, Mediterranean sounds and cinematic textures. In 2023 he made his debut at the Christiania Teater in Oslo with the Oslo Chamber Orchestra, giving rise to MediterrAnima, his project for accordion and string ensemble.
