If you’re reading this letter, you surely love music, you love the accordion, and you love PIF. So I can tell you that we share a common passion. And I can assure you that this passion is also shared by the staff, the municipal administration, and the town of Castelfidardo, and we’re working with passion and dedication on the new edition, which we hope will be a memorable one!
PIF has become a benchmark for all accordion lovers. In Castelfidardo, you hear, see, and breathe the accordion. The PIF staff, continuing the splendid work of previous artistic directors, wants to move you, to let you experience the accordion in an intense and all-encompassing way.
You’ll get to hear the best accordionists across every musical genre (just wait until you see the lineup!!), connect with other accordion enthusiasts (whether competitors or simply listeners), exchange ideas, and promote your projects over coffee or an aperitif, or enjoy dinner with your fellow accordionists or friends. You’ll be able to gaze out at the sea from our hilltop, visit accordion factories, enjoy the music, and experience unforgettable moments.
From September 9 to 13, 2026, Castelfidardo will host 18 competition categories (classical, chamber music, virtuoso, world music, as well as the new Jazz and Piazzolla categories), there will be jury members of the highest professional caliber and expertise, there will be prize concerts for the winners, there will be concerts of great depth (accordion with symphony orchestra, jazz, pop, dance, and musette concerts, etc.), there will be educational events, new publications, new musicological discoveries… You can’t miss it!!
