A New European partnership agreement signed by the PIF International Accordion Prize 2014 for the professional development of talented winners of the prestigious award Castelfidardo.
After those with the festival Sete Sois Sete Luas (Portugal) and Accordéons-nous.org of Mons (Belgium), the portfolio of opportunities for competitors widens towards the important Portuguese market under the new close collaboration in recent days with the “International Week of Accordion” which is giving a concert prize for first place in the European category E (classical music) of the PIF in 2014.
This was announced by the Mayor of Castelfidardo Mirco Soprani and Anibal Freyre, organizer of the festival that bears the signature of the Associação de Acordeão de Alcobaça, Portugal’s central city hosting the event in a prestigious location as the only World Heritage Site, the Monastery of Alcobaça, donated in 1153 by King Alfonso I the founder of the Cistercian Bernard of Clairvaux to commemorate the victory over the Moors.
Alcobaça makes an appointment to the European winner of the category E of Castelfidardo Castelfidardo for next April 2015 will host during the PIF in September 2015, the national champion that will be released by the Portuguese selection.
In the coming days the mayors of the two cities will sign a formal agreement that shows once again how Castelfidardo, solid and strong in its competitive roots, look at cooperation as an engine for development of an instrument like the accordion that is finding consensus youth international.
