“Pasiòn y canto” Concert Tribute to Carlos Gardel

December 7th will come back PIF-International Accordion Prize , at Auditorium San Francesco di Castelfidardo. 18.30,  Giacomo Medici will be held,  with his Tango Ensemble,  a concert tribute to Carlos Gardel and to the great voices of the tango Canciòn, as Roberto Goyeneche, Edmundo Rivero, Julio Sosa and Jorge Falcon, artists who have marked the history of the genre (free entrance).
Titled “Pasion y canto”, the concert will perform with Giacomo Medici (voice), Mauro Gubbiotti at the piano, Edgardo Giorgio (accordion) and Roberto Gazzani on bass and tango dancers as Griselda Bressan, Ettore Canali, Alessandro Esposto and Sara Porfiri.
The event is a continuation of the Latin Tour Tour 2014/2015 that, in September, led Medici and his ensemble, for the third time, in Buenos Aires and other Argentine cities… (up to Patagonia) for more than 15 performances in theaters, clubs and milongas.
The debut could only be in Castelfidardo, in the context of the full program of initiatives PIF- Prize International Accordion, then the show will touch other cities including Montefano (Macerata province, Marche region), in the Municipal Theatre March 24, 2015 and Montemarciano (Ancona province, Marche region), in the Alfieri theatre, 28 and March 29, 2015, with a final amazing show in Sao Paulo (Brazil) 1-15 March 2015.
The show will therefore primarily a musical tribute to the figure of the great Carlos Gardel, baritone, with his voice, that forever marked the history of sung tango. The tenor Enrico Caruso, after listening him for a hearing, said “as if he had a tear in the throat”.
You’ll find historical parts of the tango as Volver, Cuesta Abajo, Milonga sentimental, Cambaleche, Caminito, Naranjo en flor, and others will be put together also instrumental compositions by musicians such as Richard Galliano and Astor Piazzolla, remembering some.
At the stage of Castelfidardo will participate as a guest Paul Principles on accordion.
