An unprecedented event: the accordion in the instrumental ensemble of the Liceo Musicale. the students are the protagonists of a musical production in various phases: training on contemporary music, concert performance of three new works produced by three composers, recording and publication of digital albums and scores.

The pilot project, curated by Miranda Cortes for Nuovo C.D.M.I. it was created with the Liceo Musicale Giorgione in Castelfranco Veneto (TV) as part of the school-work alternation for the third year of the three-year period. The PCTO project highlighted the different phases of the musician’s profession: from the study and orchestral direction of scores specially composed for the class with the languages ​​of New Music to the recording in the orchestra class and to the final concert. The initiative, which took place from January to May 2022, saw the collaboration of the C. Pollini Conservatory of Padua, the A. Steffani Conservatory of Castelfranco Veneto (TV) and the composition of Andrea Sordano, Marino Baldissera, Simone Faliva. The publication of the scores and the digital album will be completed in September 2022 by the publishing house Ars Spoletium Publishing & Recording.

Miranda Cortes is a musician, composer and teacher of Performance and Interpretation / Ensemble Music Laboratory at the two Licei Musicali in the province of Treviso. He has numerous recordings to his credit including the latest album published with RadiciMusicRecords, “Il Coraggio” (2021) which is characterized by his research in a refined and experimental sound writing with a European flair. Since 2001 she has worked with various theatrical productions as a stage musician and composer. Publishes in 2019 “The Inevitable Meeting – Repertoires and Didactics in the Artistic Dimension of the Accordion” of the New C.D.M.I., Adopt the Future!
