Born in Basel in 1972, he undertook the study of the Bajan accordion under the guidance of M ° A. Di Zio, continuing since 1988 with M ° Max Bonnay at the Paris Conservatory.
Graduated with top marks at the Conservatory “N. Piccinni ”of Bari in the class of M ° M. Pitocco then studies composition with M ° M. Della Sciucca.

He has attended numerous master classes in Italy and abroad with the best masters of this particular instrument, including J. Mornet and P. Busseuil at the Music Training Center in Avignon, M. Ellegaard at the Pescarese Music Academy, C and M. Bonnay at the Nice Music Training Center.

He was ranked first in the ANIF competition in Foligno in 1988 (first prize overall); second at the prestigious International Castelfidardo Competition in 1988; first at the International Chamber Music Competition of Sanguinetto (VR) in 2000 with the Trio Solotarev winning at the same time the “Rivoalto-Ducale Record Award”; first in the Chamber Music Competition of Gravina di Puglia; first at the Loreto Marche Accordion Concert Competition in 1999.

In the field of contemporary music he performed some first performances among which: “Sinfonie Est-Ovest” by B. Porena, “Sypario” by S. Bussotti, “D’Ance” by D. Anzaghi, “Prelude, Choral and Finale “By S. Calligaris,” Intus “by A. Sbordoni,” Thoughts Interrupted “by A. Solbiati, collaborating with the most important concert associations in this sector such as” Nuovi Spazi Musicali “,” Nuova Consonanza “,” Novurgia “.

He has recorded a CD with the Bussottioperaballet under the direction of the composer himself, a CD with the Rivoalto-Ducale and one with the Stradivarius. The latter includes the etching of the Sonata “Et Exspecto” for bajan only and works by G. Ligeti, by A. Schnittke, J. Tiensuu; the criticism was significant in the major specialized magazines such as Classic Voice, Amadeus, Wire and Cd Classic. He is the founder of the Solotarev trio, a chamber ensemble composed of three Bajans, specialized in the research and execution of original works.

He is often invited to join the jury of the International Competition for accordion concert performers in the city of Castelfidardo; is a professor of accordion bajan at the Conservatory of Music “A. Casella “of  L’Aquila.
