A disruptive big-band star of the evening concert, a day marked by jazz vibrations. The International Accordion Award browses the agenda of a Friday with excellent artistic facets. The Jazz Colors orchestra conducted by the maestro Massimo Morganti is one of the “big” hits of this edition: it will capture the scene of the Astra theater (at 9.00 pm, free admission) by lending the side to three absolute soloists able to express the jazz soul of the instrument from various angles. The veteran Gianni Cosciane literally embodies the story with a sober and refined style with which he told the Italian jazz contamination better and before anyone else. Chigo Chagas, a native of the Amazon forest for the first time in Castelfidardo, will bring the emotions of Brazilian rhythms and the charisma matured collaborating with sacred monsters like Milton Nascimento, Caetano Veloso and Gilberto Gil; Massimo Tagliata, having risen to popularity thanks to the pop vein with which he accompanies Biagio Antonacci, is a versatile artist who with versatility oscillates from the most traditional jazz to tango. A show of great energy, introduced by the auditions of the finalists of the jazz category and preceded by a program packed with many attractions. On the 500th anniversary, a double tribute to Leonardo cannot be omitted: at 3.00 pm in Piazza della Repubblica with the Castelfidardo Youth Orchestra which uses the “Leonardo 2019 accordion” created by ICS students with musical address and at 6.30 pm in the Auditorium San Francesco with the duo composed by Aleksander Ipavec (portative organ) and Paola Chiabudini (harpsichord). “On the road with Leonardo Da Vinci” is the title of the project based on a repertoire of songs that ranges from the Renaissance to the present day playing the ancestor of the modern accordion designed by the Italian genius. In the same context as the Pif Auditorium at 7.00 pm, Maestro Giorgio Dellarole brings an essay of his studies on the baroque and classical repertoire dedicated to Domenico Scarlatti taken from the last CD “Scarlatti Sonatas”, winner of the Orpheus Award for best Italian accordionist production of 2019 But the notes and the occasions of comparison are intertwined since the morning with the unraveling of the auditions. The 9.30am PifAcademy has Raynald Ouellet as the speaker of the seminar on “European influence in North American world music”; Artem Malhasyan, a student at the St. Petersburg Conservatory and winner of the award concert in collaboration with the Mons festival, is at the center of the 12 am AperiPif at the Binci hall of the “Soprani” music school, an exhibition followed by the appreciated guided Vinarmonica by the oenologist Daniele Fava, by the bartender Beniamino Canafoglia and by the chef Marco Rossi with tastings of wines and typical products offered by SìconTe, Poldo, FiorettiBrera, Fiordigrano and Biologically. From 4.00pm to 7.00pm, at the civic school “Soprani” in via Mordini, free lessons for children aged 4 to 18 with the teachers Luigino Pallotta (accordion), Emanuele Coppari (guitar), Nico Pallotta (double bass and electric bass), Paola Del White (violin) and Leonardo Rosselli (sax).

And the music continues until late evening at the O’Brian Irish pub with the live Onerik Folk (from 10.30pm) and the OnStage (from 11.30pm) with Scarlatto live: Riccardo Ciaramellari (Simone Cristicchi accordionist), Carla Quadraccia (Voce) , Valter Sacripanti (drums), Riccardo Ciaramellari (accordion and piano), Davide Pieralisi (guitar), Sandro Rosati (double bass).
