Mirco Patarini was born in Spoleto in 1966 and in 1978 he began studying music in the Spoleto section of the CDMI (Italian Musical Educational Center).
Already in October of the same year he began to participate in various national competitions, and between 1983 and 1985 he won the Italian Preseason three more times, thus participating in the World Trophy in Caracas (Venezuela), Caldas de Rahina (Portugal), and La Chaux-de-Fonds (Switzerland), where he gets the 1st prize.
Winner of the 1984 World Accordion Trophy, his concert activity ranges from classical repertoire to modern music; from acoustic accordion to electronic and MIDI accordion; from the solo performance to the concert for accordion and orchestra, reaching today 69 countries around the world, with participations with famous artists such as Luciano Pavarotti or Nicola Piovani and in the most prestigious theaters in the world. He has held the position of General Music Manager in the Bontempi-Farfisa Group for years. Since 2008 he has been the founder and Artistic Director of the Instruments & Music Festival of Spoleto. In 2011 he was Artistic Director and organizer of the CIA Coupe Mondiale in Spoleto. Since 2014 he has been President of the Music Committee of the CIA (Confédération Internationale des Accordéonistes) IMCUNESCO. In 2017 he was Artistic Director and organizer of the CIA Coupe Mondiale in Osimo. Since 2017 he has been President of the CIA (Confédération Internationale des Accordéonistes), IMC-UNESCO. Since 2018 he has been Guest Professor at the Shanghai Conservatory of Music and since 2018 he has been Artistic Director of the Osimo Master Classes of Higher Musical Perfection.
Accordionist, composer, teacher, Renzo Ruggieri is graduated in jazz piano at CPM in Milan with M° Franco D’Andrea. He specializes with Frank Marocco, Adriano Mazzoletti, Richard Galliano, Ennio Morricone (Film Music) and Mario Raja (Arrangement and Composition for Jazz Big Band). He has played over 2000 concerts all over the world: Russia, USA, China, South America and almost all of Europe. He has performed in prestigious stages such as the Verona Arena, Moscow Gnessin Hall, Rome Opera House, Rostov State Musical Theater. He has participated in over one hundred productions including CDs, DVDs, compositions, didactic texts and theatrical works. Profitable collaboration with Maestro Peppino Principe who in his biography named him his artistic heir and with the extraordinary interpreter Antonella Ruggiero with whom he also performs in the prestigious Sanremo Festival. He was Artistic Director of important festivals including the prestigious Castelfidardo International Accordion Award (PIF), he currently directs the Accordion Art Festival of which he is also the creator. Renzo is one of the first accordionists to publish and create a modern didactic for jazz / modern accordion with winning students of the most important international competitions (CIA, CMA, PIF, Primus Ikaalinen, Italia Award). Among the best known artists with whom he collaborated: Sergio Caputo, Franco Cerri, Gabriele Cirilli, Gianni Coscia, Simone Cristicchi, Bruno De Filippi, Tullio De Piscopo, Piera Degli Esposti, Dolcenera, Fiorello, Roberto Gatto, Marco Goldin, Raphael Gualazzi, Tonino Guerra, Monica Guerritore, Roberto Herlitzka, Flavio Insinna, Judith Malina, Ron, Morgan, Gino Paoli, Lino Patruno, PFM, Nicola Piovani, Enrico Rava, Danilo Rea, Davide Riondino, Art Van Damme.
